Augmented reality is a way to project information on top of visual information given to you in the real world. Someday using wi-fi the elite and the rich alike will have access to a totally different way of seeing the world.

Wearable computing is great for gaming, but you can see how phones are becoming the new TRICORDER. You input data from sensors (wifi, the camera, the mic, the keypad and touchscreen) and get output data from it (the monitor and speakers)
We have been able to get data on the fly for years now with mobile phones but its the integration into our daily lives that has sometimes escaped notice. Imagine oneday having nanotech create sensors like a small physical compass, barometer, thermometer, giga counter, etc. in your phone. You could pull readings from a phone with just a basic scan.
Think of all the information you get from phones already. They have all of the capability of laptops from about five years ago including cameras, data storage and high quality audio. The phone is the biggest item we have been developing lately. It is a small portable computer with the capability to send and recieve data at high speeds. Just thirty six years ago this was all just a fantasy. These phones were invented in 1973 but the mass application really boomed in the 90's. Now we have phones more powerful than laptops were. The only thing missing is a disk drive which is largely obsolete with solid state flash memory. We can fit gigs of data into cards that are small enough to sit on your thumbnail.
SanDisk is developing a 128 Gigabyte card for 2011.

Considder the filesize of that chip. Its 1/8 of a terrabyte and smaller than a thumbnail. When most people have a terrabyte of storage at their fingertips there is no telling just what these phones will be capable of.

Taking things a step further, a phone that could translate a conversation in close to real time might be on the horizon. Language translation using voice recognition software already exists. With terrabytes of storage and gigahertz of processing power its up to the programmer to impliment this fully.
The technological implications are staggering but the real ball buster will be the psychological transformation that has taken place with a society with this ability. All people of all nations knowing all languages with the ability to communicate freely. Hmmm... something may get in the way of this, but what...

They say that there are good and bad illuminati.I don't advise you to spend too much time on that, maybe just take a look, because I think we all had enough of the half-baked theories.
Sometimes I think that the theories only exist to strike greater fear in the people than the reality is.
About your question, I don't know what to think.It seems pretty logical, but we have read so many theories, it is not easy to recognize the truth.
The question is of course that of a scared little bish.

Your question specifically asks if the illuminati were AFRAID to let others know the truth. Competition is a bitch. I dont think is a matter of being AFRAID.

What do you mean "helpful to man"? The means for survival are provided. The quest for advancement is not for the resources (mases) to make a decision upon, since they are all little children sleeping and dreaming a beautiful dream. The environment is already being used for that and more, including the eaters hence the "new" civilization.
The "laws of motion" are just that and nothing more. RESOURCES are needed for using the laws and environment.
Vallah, the whole point is to allow for a reduction in wasted goods to provide for the resources for a better experience. If cars were loaned out instead of owned there would not be as much need for parking lots. The increase in public transit would benefit the earth as well.
The application of high quality loaned materials would make leisure much more efficient without having to store the goods being used. The ideas obviously take a lot of inspiration form startrek's federation on this concept, as nobody uses money yet they also own few personal posessions. (Who needs real posossions with a holodek so convincing?) I am not avoiding reality in this case though. Scientific advancement could make it possible for us to have enough for us to thrive at even higher populations. I have seen the technology used to solve the problems.
I look at the potential for alternative energy as a way to recreate the hanging gardens of rome hydroponically using desalinization to create fresh water to support the means.
I'd like to invite you to watch and take in the concept of that video with an open mind and realize the potential for progress that has been at our fingertips.
