OROBOROUS - The snake eating its tail.
This is the serpent that ate the sun god. This is the penultimate representation of the demon that devoured the sun god.
PHEONIX - The bird that dies to give birth to another.
This is yet another eclipse myth. In this case the Occultation is likened to a hatching egg.
CADEUCES - The snake coiling the rod.
The serpent is the occultation
The serpent coils the rod because the rod represents the phallus which is the penis.
This represents the male aspect of power.The serpent coils the rod because it represents the power being taken away by the snake.
This also relates to the astrological cycle of 12:
The cycle of twelve also appears in what is known as the "Cosmic Year", the longest time cycle known to Man, the 25,000 year progression of the vernal equinox.
