-Old Native American Wisdom
The truth is we are not owners of anything, even our body is rented until death reposesses our corpse and returns it to the earth.
You do not own anything.
WHY?
It belongs to the earth.
HOW?
Try living in outer space. We are terrestrial beings limited to our environment living a finite existence. Ownership is primitive, and temporary. The lifespan is determined by the product owned, or the owner. You cannot have anything forever.
With that point established, I wanted to list the ways in wich the word FOREVER will fuck you royally.
Housing:
You do not want a house forever, nor do you want to own it.
A house is a liability, it requires repairs and maintenance, it keeps you tied to a set location, and it also requires a property tax. Either way you are paying rent, forever. You may as well throw in the towel on that one.
People:
Lovers and Employees (wage slaves) are always temporary.
They are limited by lifespans, love and employment are always conditional, and people change. Either way you end up being forced into compromises and robbing yourself of independence. The Lovers and Employees hang around for the paycheck any way you slice it. Why do you think they call them Golddiggers and Wageslaves?
When the money is gone how long do you think that they will last? Hook-ups and Temps will almost always be up front. What more do you need?
New Cars:
Same deal applies with housing. Once it breaks down it becomes a sink that costs more to repair than it did to purchase. In almost all cases you have financing that requires a down payment plus you end up getting fucked by the math into paying almost 50% more than the car was origionally worth. Don't buy it.
A used car with low milage is great if you know how to do repairs. If not just buy a junker for $1-2K when its broken you wont miss it, and as a bonus you now have a car to learn how to do repairs on.
Name Brand Electronics:
Would you rather have Sony, or Daewoo? Would you rather have Bose or Audiovox? Is that money spent going to make the propaganda sound that much better? Is that big screen picture going to make all the ads look that much prettier?
Don't get hustled. I used to work for an electronics company as a customer support rep. I used to see all the products first hand and I know how wear and tear happens to electronics. I also know that when you rip off the logo that they all are the same.
Same thing for computers. Why get a Mac that has everything built in when you can get a pc and configure it yourself? When you know HOW, you realise that everything that is basic and easy for computers are worthless. Same with the built-in DELL all-in-one systems. Same with Windows OS.
KNOW HOW V.S. KNOW WHO
I'm teaching myself so that I can certify for A+ and coding for linux and html on the side because learning how to make your own PCs is better than using pre fab crap and relying on tech support that knows how to read a manual.
I'm looking for another beater car while I study the dead one. I'm Learning how to repair and work on cars so that I won't need a mechanic, because all they do is study a chilton's manual too.
When it comes to housing, why do you think the MASONS run everything? People stopped building their own huts after the agriculture boom of ancient times. Farming was the big boom industry back then, other than raiding. So how did they take advantage of rich land owners? They got slaves to build all the temples of antiquity!
KNOWLEDGE VS MIGHT
Knowledge always wins, this is why man is the dominating force on the planet right now. For everyone who thinks that the elite are in power because might makes right, just stop and think of who is fighting the war and who is leading the people, the mighty or the knowledgable?
The troops are all strong young warriors, but where are the generals? in the bunker relaying commands through the communications officers.
Look at Radar from M.A.S.H. , just look at him. Could he fight a war? Fuck no! But he's more powerfull than any action hero. Why?
The pen is mightier than the sword, in this case, the RADIO.
He can call in a fucking air strike!
While all the MIGHTY are on the ground playing with guns, the real hero called in the bombers to kill them all.
When you look at war, crime, and law it is all based on one thing. PROPERTY.
EXAMPLE:
If I buy a car, why must I have a liscence to drive it?
If you look at it legally, I am responsible for property damage if I get into an accident. If I am making payments on the car, it is not even my property yet. I am taking something I have not yet payed for and putting it at risk. This is why, I must have car insurance. I am also putting another's life at risk as well as my own, and their corpse is under the care of their family or estate.
If you look at it LAW is a function of ownership, but if we left things chaotic then I could just steal your car. Guess what?
With or without the law I could steal your car anyways. The law does nothing to prevent the actual theft and damage to the car. The concept of law does not protect you unless the law is enforced. This is why we have cops.
People gave up being responsible for and with their property and now we have people enforcing rules and laws because they chose to have their god-pig-cop wipe their asses.
The law was created by the man who wanted to steal your car. Look at the police impound if you don't believe me. They always have and always will figure out how to get you to do things by pushing papers because the pen is mightier than the sword.
The contract is mightier than the gun.
We used to have the right to assemble, and the right to bear arms was unquestioned.
You could shoot someone for insulting you.
Think about it. Angry protesters and guns don't mix.
Now we have concealed carry permits, assault rifle bans, censorship, an free speech zones, with gun bans just ahead.
America has been Pwned by the contract time and time again.
Why?
Just as there is no evil, there is no crime. These concepts are just inventions of the written word.
There is only reality.
People die, stuff breaks, real work is hard, real rewards come from sweat, real dignity comes from knowledge and application of the truth.
Live for today, tomorrow may not come.

From what I've experienced, something can only really be 'yours' if you've mastered its use or made it yourself. Even then, someone can take it away, or you can give it away.. it'll still be 'yours' in that fashion, though.
Like if you build yourself a go-kart, it'll be more 'yours' than if you buy a pre-made car, even if both are obtained on your own money. You know 'your own' device (the go-kart) better than the car, and even if someone takes it, you can make a new one after a fashion. Same can't be said of the car unless you dissect it completely and learn it. And even then you'd have to get a lot of expensive proprietary parts--of someone else's design--unless you create your own.
steven, you can't create something on your own (matter from nothing). everything comes from and belongs to earth (already existing matter). that's the law of nature.
so, i think zero is right. we own nothing and private property created wars and crime. however i desire to "own" a small piece of land somewhere rural and retire there in future. by "owning" i mean i don't want to be forced off the land untill i die. i'll pay property taxes (rent) which is a lesser amount than legal rent fees. i'm pretty sure that "buying" land, growing my food, and live off grid (no electricity, sewarage and running water), is a good investment for my lifespan.
